In Lieu Finance Assistant

In Lieu Finance Assistant helps the authorised In Lieu team record expenses, apply requested cost splits, track reimbursements and prepare records for their accountant. It is a private team tool, not a public sign-up service. It does not make bank payments or decide the tax treatment of an expense.

The assistant connects to Google using an account that In Lieu has authorised. Its initial Google Sheets connection reads and edits the expense workbooks that the team has approved. Google's spreadsheet permission can also cover other spreadsheets accessible to the connected account, so In Lieu limits that account's sharing. Spreadsheet editing includes the ability to change existing content; the permission is not append-only.

Receipt links can be recorded in the spreadsheet. If Google Drive receipt storage is enabled, the assistant will separately request access to app-created or app-authorised files. This finance connection does not request access to Gmail or Google Calendar.
